Eligibility Criteria

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc., M.Tech., MCA, or equivalent) with at least 55% aggregate marks.
  • Qualifying National Eligibility Test (NET) / GATE / CSIR‑UGC / AICTE/ State‑level Ph.D. entrance.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant research or industry experience (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Candidates holding a B.E./B.Tech. with a minimum of 55% may apply, provided they clear the university‑conducted Ph.D. Entrance Test.

Entrance Examination

The university conducts a written test followed by a personal interview:

  • Written Test (80 marks): Core Computer Science fundamentals, research methodology, and analytical aptitude.
  • Interview (20 marks): Evaluation of research proposal, motivation, and suitability for doctoral study.
  • Application of NET/GATE scores may exempt candidates from the written test.

  3. Payment of the non‑refundable application fee.
  4. Submission of the completed application (deadline: 30 September).
  5. Shortlisting based on eligibility and qualifying exam scores.
  6. Written test (if exempted, this step is omitted).
  7. Personal interview with the Departmental Selection Committee.
  8. Final merit list publication and issuance of admission letters.
